The foster parents of the Michalak children (who have been taken from their Czech mother by Norwegian Barnevernet) have been openly publishing their pictures with the foster children on Facebook. That would not be anything out of the ordinary, had it not been for the fact that if the children’s mother did so, she would get into serious trouble with Barnevernet. This agency would probably move fast against her. Let alone the fact that the mother is not even allowed to take pictures of her children during the very rare contacts that Barnevernet lets her have with her children. My question is: Why such a prohibition for the mother when it comes to photos of her children for her personal use? Is this yet another glaring example of Barnevernet‘s harassment?
Perhaps it would have been better if the pictures of Denis and David never appeared publicly. However, had the children been never taken away from their mother, we would not have to deal with this issue, and the children’s pictures would not appear in various media every day.
