MEP Valentine Mazuronis approached the Lithuanian Minister of the Interior with a request to find a Norwegian mother confiscated from a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania Gabriel bulge.
«The written appeal to the Minister of Internal Affairs asking Saul Skvernelį find minor citizen of our country, because neither his relatives nor the Lithuanian Embassy in the Kingdom of Norway, Lithuania insititucijos nor responsible for the protection of the rights of children have no knowledge of either him or to his current place of residence, status, or interests. I think that the Lithuanian authorities must take care of its citizens and to do everything that the child would be found, «- says MEP V. Mazuronis.
MEP’s letter, addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs says that the Norwegian authorities in the context does not provide Lithuanian child protection authorities and embassy information about Lithuanian citizen G. Bumbulio location, do not allow the representatives of these institutions and G. Bumbulio relatives to meet, communicate, and make sure that it is ensured its interests, rights and security.
The appeal stressed that Mr G. Bumbulio mother Leščinskienė maternity rights are not deprived of Lithuania than those of the Norwegian courts. These rights have been deprived of Møre og Romsdal county commission decision, which lawyers said, although it has the right to decide child custody issues in Norway, but is not a judicial body.
«The Norwegian authorities have no right to restrict citizens of Lithuania fundamental rights and freedoms. Lithuania Article 13 of the Constitution states: «The State of Lithuania protect its citizens abroad. Therefore, our authorities must do everything that it is not empty words, but concrete works, especially in the young Lithuanian citizens and juvenile protection or care. The fact that the Lithuanian authorities have been prevented from participating in deciding the fate of a citizen of the minor, the fact that it was not able to give him our support and assistance to the state at the time when he needed it the most, is a blatant violation of our Constitution. Let’s get to the end and show concrete actions that we care about our people, and that our public institutions to be reckoned with when dealing with our children, «- says Valentine Mazuronis.
MEP V. Mazuronis Interior Minister addressed a letter requests that the Ministry of the Interior through the subordinate authorities in the context of all available instruments, including the publication of international search, find a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania G. bulge and take all steps to ensure that it would be returned to Lithuania.
